Abu Usamah opens this lecture by narrating a hadeeth about two men, one righteous and the other disobedient. The good doer after giving much advice to the sinful man passed a judgement against him by saying, 'Allah will never forgive you' due to his continuous return to sin. The statement, so severe, caused him to enter the hellfire and the other into Paradise. Allah! It is ultimately through His Mercy that one will be permitted to enter Jannah. Abu Usamah derives many essential lessons from this hadeeth. From amongst them we learn that it is impermissible to look down upon people after guidance has come to us, to never pass judgements which solely belong to Allah, the severity of speaking without knowledge and that no matter how many good deeds a person does, it is ultimately the last deed you die on, that really counts and non of us know when then that shall be!
